Life on the Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca (the White Coast) is located in the center of the Spanish Mediterranean coastline. Numerous civilizations have settled and fought in this area over the centuries. The Greeks founded Denia, while the Romans and Moors settled in Alicante and the south of Alicante area. Much evidence of these early settlers can be seen in many places along the Blanca.

The bustling coastal town of Torrevieja is situated about 45 klms south of Alicante. Torrevieja is fast becoming one of the most popular towns along the coast. Still a genuine fishing town, Torrevieja bustles all year round. You will find good shopping, great seafood, and a la carte restaurants, clean beaches, pretty coves, four golf courses, night life and that warming Mediterranean atmosphere. Just south of Torrevieja on the Orihuela costa you will find a good selection of sandy beaches, marinas, and three of the four excellent 18 hole golf courses.

The life style is quite simple... relaxed, warm, friendly and full of time for you to do what you want to do. Most days are sunny and bright even in the winter, you can live your life out of doors. The Costa Blanca with Torrevieja in particular is now considered to be one of the healthiest places to live on the globe. Rich in salts and minerals, plenty of sunshine and that great Mediterranean diet, it's got to be right.
